How do I remove discoloration on the inside of my Thermos product?

If you see discoloration, it’s almost always a coffee/tea build-up in your container. Coffee pot cleaner or denture tablets usually work the best for getting out stubborn stains and odors. Put two denture tablets in your product with hot water and let it soak overnight then wash with soap and water and rinse well, and if applicable, allow to dry, prior to use. Lemon juice can also be used for removing odors.

How should I clean my Thermos product?

Each product on our website links to their own Care and Use manual with cleaning instructions. Most of our products are top-rack dishwasher safe, but we still recommend washing by hand to keep the beautiful finish looking great. Never use bleach or any cleaner that contains bleach on your Thermos® product.

Is there a coating on the interior of your stainless steel products?

No, Thermos brand stainless steel products have no interior coating.

Are Thermos products lead-free?

Thermos products are tested rigorously by independent testing labs. As a result of this testing, we can assure you that Thermos products do not pose a risk of lead exposure to consumers.

Are FUNtainer®, Foogo®, and Thermos Baby products BPA-free?

Yes, our FUNtainer®, Foogo®, and Thermos Baby products are made with love from BPA-free materials; including Polypropylene #5 and food grade 18/8 stainless steel.

What is the FUNtainer® bottle’s lid and straw made of?

The FUNtainer® bottle lid is made of polypropylene. The straw spout is made of silicone and the stem is made of LDPE (low-density polyethylene). None of these materials contain BPA.

How do the Foogo® products and Thermos Baby stainless steel products inhibit bacteria growth?

Our Foogo® and Thermos Baby stainless steel products inhibit bacteria growth based on the ability of the product to keep contents cold. Testing results show that liquids placed inside of these products inhibit bacteria growth while the liquid stays cold.

Can I store milk in my FUNtainer® bottle?

Our FUNtainer® bottles keep beverages cold for up to 12 hours. That being said, storing milk requires special attention so we don’t recommend keeping dairy inside the bottles for long periods due to the risk of spoilage.

How do I get the best temperature retention from my vacuum insulated product?

For max performance and heat retention, preheat the inside of your Thermos product with hot water according to the care and use instructions for best results. If you’re preparing a Thermos food jar to fill with soup, pasta or any other hot foods, they should be heated on a stove to a boiling point or microwaved piping hot prior to filling the food jar. Please use caution when handling hot contents. Remember, you’re not heating up the food to eat now; you’re heating it so that it can be safely eaten hours later.

Where are Thermos L.L.C. products manufactured?

Our headquarters is located in Schaumburg, IL, though we have offices all over the world to service and support our customers. All of our products are responsibly manufactured. Most of our stainless steel products and lids are manufactured in China and most of our plastic bottles are U.S. manufactured in Batesville, MS.

They are the same great products you have come to know and love but with a new name.

How do bundles work?

Thermos Bundles include two predetermined Thermos Brand products that customers frequently buy together. Each bundle offers customers
20% off the two items listed and will be automatically applied to your cart. Bundles cannot be combined with any other offer. Customers may remove the bundle discount, and apply a different coupon code or promotion (if applicable).

We want you to love your Thermos product, but if you’re dissatisfied for any reason, we want to make it

Recycling Program

How does our Recycling Program work?

At Thermos Brand, we’re dedicated to helping reduce waste in landfills from reusable stainless steel containers. Instead of disposing of your pre-loved Thermos Brand product, you can send it back to us where we will recycle it. We keep them out of landfills, and you get $5 off your next purchase for each Thermos Brand product you send back to us.

How many items can I send to be recycled?

You can ship up to 5 items per household per year with your shipping label.

I sent my item in, when will I get my coupon?

Coupon codes will be emailed within two weeks after we receive the item(s) at our facility.

How much will my coupon code be?

$5 for each Thermos Brand stainless steel item (up to $25 for 5 products).

Why is my coupon a different amount than I expected?

If the product(s) did not meet our criteria (for example, item was not stainless steel), the coupon value will be adjusted.

Am I being charged to ship my item back?

No, Thermos Brand covers shipping. Just box up your items, attach the label to the box, and take it to UPS.

Can I only ship through UPS?

Yes, at this time, the free shipping label you receive will come from UPS. You can find the closest UPS location to you here.

What is the criteria for my item to qualify for the program?

We accept Thermos Brand stainless steel drinkware, food jars, carafes, can insulators, and beverage bottles in any
shape, size, condition, color and finish. Unfortunately, we only accept products made out of stainless steel material (Sorry, no plastic – yet!)

Can I send you my plastic Thermos Brand water bottle for recycling?

Not at this time.

How should I prepare my bottle for shipping?

Wash and completely dry your item before sending. Please remove all plastic parts including lids, straws, and silicone gaskets.

What happens to my item once you receive it?

It will be collected at our Batesville, MS warehouse for pick-up and transfer to a local facility where it will be recycled.

If I change my mind after shipping the item, can I get it back?

Unfortunately, after the package is given to UPS, we are unable to return it back to you.
